I looked in my records and found expansion and penetration data for the Winchester .357 Magnum 145 grain STHP load# X357SHP. This data is from Winchester's 2009 LE Duty Handgun Barrier Test Data. The firearm used was a 4" S&W Model 686.

    Bare gelatin
    Expansion .55 inches
    Penetration 15.3 inches

    Heavy clothing
    Expansion .58 inches
    Penetration 16.4 inches

So I asked because I recently acquired 500 rounds of Federal 9mm HST load# P9HST2. Are you intending to duplicate that load?

Are you trying to enhance the performance in some way?

Yes, my video is on page 1. The bullet still holds together and penetrates well.

I've only had the chance for one coyote and it was a bang flop at 20 yards. I only hit one lung. The terminal performance was pretty epic. I've shot multiple coyotes with the bullet from 9mms and it's night and day difference. I've hit the heart and both lungs with a 9mm hst once and the yote ran 20 yards looked back and then a head shot dropped him. That exit wound looked about a half inch. The exit wound with the .357 was about 3".

Oh, sorry... I was forgetting we are talking about .357 Magnum. Now I realize you are loading a 9mm bullet in a .357 Magnum loading. I wonder what expansion and penetration that load would exhibit in ballistic gelatin?

    I found it.
I found it to be very interesting, too.
That .357 Magnum Federal HST performance in not too different from Winchester's Silvertip HP load. There would be an expected advantage due to the HST design, though. Would like to see expanded bullet pictures.

As for the 9mm Federal HST 147 grain performance, my data is a bit different...
Bare gelatin 12.0 inches penetration, .85 inches expansion
Heavy cloth 12.5 inches penetration, .69 inches expansion
