    Specialist Belt Updated for 2023

    The Specialist has received an update for 2023! It took inspiration from the San-Mai and was completely re-designed to ditch the scuba and be stiffened with a custom made textile based core. The belt looks the same but is completely different in construction method and it will provide superior performance with AIWB carry compared to previous generations of the Specialist.

    The new core design makes the Specialist more flexible and pliable than before so it will conform better to your holster and other AIWB gear which will improve concealment. Although it is not as stiff as previous generations of the Specialist it still has the requisite strength for AIWB carriage and in addition to the new version working better with your carry gear the new core design will also make the belt more comfortable.

    @Mack
    Would this belt support a G48 in OWB kydex?
    Your D-ring belts do for me.
    They are soft and flexible. Comfortable.
    I would go to the Specialist due to the smaller lighter buckle IF it supports owb about as well as the Dring.
    Thanks.

    It's a very nice belt. I'm really happy with it. That holster is very comfortable as well.

    If you like your D-Ring for OWB then the new Specialist should work just fine for your needs.

    Thanks again!

    FWIW my new Specialist belt was very secure this morning on a ruck with a G19 worn OWB with a WML and RDS. I normally used a Wilderness "rigger" type belt. I didn't perceive any difference in support.
