    I don't shoot competitively. I am old guy who's a rookie, so all the talk of alpha etc. is beyond me. I just want to become what I consider a good, competent gun handler and shooter. I'm in my third year of shooting and never had so much fun.

    Your point about a shooting technique somewhere between reactive and predictive very likely has merit. Thank you for your input.

    The only thing I have to add to @GJM’s comment is that shooting doubles (predictive pairs) or max speed Bill drills are great ways to train and diagnose grip, recoil control, and return of the gun. It takes vision mostly out of the equation.

    I was hoping to hear from you, Cluster. You've always provided good answers and advice to my questions. I need to get out and shoot more often so I can get these techniques under my belt and holster.
