I can't begrudge the Barrett family taking some money off the table for what they've built (though I wish it didn't happen).
I suspect that the new owners will be able to sell into markets that were previously embargoed, and, I suspect in five years that the sales to individuals might be curtailed. If you don't have one, and you think you might like one, I suspect the window is now starting to close.
Don't worry. If you can't buy a Barrett anymore, you've still got that YouTube cletus with the giant exploding zip guns. Whatever his name is.
