Just saw that and came here to see if anyone had posted about it. I may want to snag one as a companion to my ACW MEUSOC. The MEUSOC 1911s are by far my favorite duty 1911.

Looks good. I can’t see not getting one of those if the price is reasonable.

Posted on another forum regarding the new MEU(SOC)

I asked someone from MAC about when the MEUSOC would be available and price. They said around 2-3 weeks with a price of $799

Other 1911s that would probably do well:

A Tisas Raider that's cut for an optic or optic plate. Ideally this would use the Springfield AOS plate. Both 9mm and 45 would be offered....

An FBI HRT inspired gun under the MAC banner. Models would be offered both with and without the light rail...

A retro 1911 with the tiny ejection port, no frame scallops, etc....

Got to hand it to MAC. A few years back I saw that he was visiting Turkish manufacturers quite a bit, little did I know that he was packing the way for this sort of thing. I know he pissed a bunch off with the Dragunov scandal, but as a gun guy of roughly the same age and who grew up liking the same things he likes (gun wise at least), I do appreciate his recent efforts.

Or does “MAC” aka Tim H have nothing to do with these imports?

As for my 1911A1. It suffered from a fair number of failure to go into battery for the first couple hundred rounds. Since then, the last few boxes have been flawless.

Anyone else experience a “break in” period?

I thought this “MAC” was Military Armaments Corp, who imports various Turkish firearms, not Tim with Military Arms Channel. I’m not aware of any connection between the two but I also haven’t been paying attention.

Yeah, after I posted I did a little more research and didn't find any connection.
