I'm not much for bling-y guns, but I finger banged a METE SFT side by side with a Rival last week at the LGS, and frankly, liked the METE better. The Rival MIGHT have a slightly "better" trigger, but I just can't get past the whole slide (including the bottom) being cheese-gratered.

I feel like I should own a Canik… that’s one of the only brands I don’t own… yet.

I also feel the steady, siren song of Canik. Especially the basic $280-300 models. It's impossible to justify on any logical level, I'll never use/carry any striker-fire platform for serious purposes over my Glocks and M&Ps after a decade and a half of perfect performance from every one I've owned.

However, I did just buy a Beretta CX4 when there are objectively more updated PCC platforms just because sometimes it's cool to have a cool thing that you want.

I think that aspect of gun ownership is fully valid. Realistically, 99% of us don't need anything but a single Glock 19, a single AR, and a single bolt rifle anyway. And we all have way more than that. So go for it!
