Ultrasonic Cleaner Additive?

Do I need to buy one of dedicated commercial solutions for ultrasound cleaning?

Or are there some home mixes that do the job on brass?

My ultrasonic holds about 2 quarts of water and I throw in a tablespoon of Lemishine crystals with a few drops of dish soap.

I use citric acid from the canning isle at Walmart. It really cleans brass up good. I then put the brass in the vibratory tumbler with corn cob media and Nufinish. Brass comes out looking brand new.
