This might be very, very interesting.
Weight reminds me of the CZC AD01 with the full heavy dust cover.
Index is like a CZ. Grip is comfortable.
Slide release rubs my support hand like a CZ does. Might shave it.
Will probably put some grip tape on the frame for my weak thumb as I do with a lot of smooth frame guns.
Trigger has a very mushy pretravel that’s kind of long.
Trigger break is mushier than a 1911 with a longer reset.
Break is fairly far to the rear. Large handed people might not like that.

I figured the best direct comparison would be a 5” Prodigy.
Because competition division. Internal hammer for the RIA would be Limited Optics / Open.
Price is similar. Street price on the Prodigy is $1300 and that’s about what the RIA is (although with optic included).
In directly comparing dry trigger presses, I have to amend my previous observation.
The wall is actually fairly mushy but smooth to get through on the RIA.
The reset is fairly long… much longer than a 1911.
This could be easily remedied by a set screw in the trigger to reduce overtravel.
Looking at the mechanism. Set screw in the frame would work better. Needs about 3mm of overtravel reduction.
(For a regular gun it’s fine)
Also noticed the mounting is not great…
The optic is cantilevered and floating. Looks like they didn’t take enough material down front and rear. Will probably file / Dremel clearance to fit flush.
The mags looked very CZ75 ish…
RIA on left, 75B on right with blue follower.
Mag catch is same geometry and location…
The base pad angle interferes a little with the grip.
But with extended base pad no interference… seems to hand cycle rounds fine…
