Only warm temperature records are notable

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/weath...w-year-europe/

Why is it that only warm temperature records are interesting? Article sees that as evidence of global warming but doesn't even acknowledge the extreme cold experienced by much of the US.

    It's called confirmation bias.

You believe in X. You can then see 99 pieces of evidence that do not support your position and all of them will be written off. Then you see the one piece that supports whatever X is and it winds up being heralded from the rooftops.

I don’t know, I saw plenty of stories about the record low temperatures a couple weeks back.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Since they've shifted the term to "climate change", every atypical weather event can now be attributed to it.

This is a good thing since Europe can’t afford to heat their homes this winter anyway.

It's called "following the science", haven't you been paying attention?

I can tell you just aren't woke enough, for sure.

Because everyone would be reporting their ex for bitter cold?

Because the media reports one thing vs. what the science is seeing and supporting overall.

    From the article:

On New Year’s Day, at least seven countries saw their warmest January weather on record as temperatures surged to springtime levels: Latvia hit 52 degrees (11.1 Celsius); Denmark 54.7 degrees (12.6 Celsius); Lithuania 58.3 degrees (14.6 Celsius); Belarus 61.5 degrees (16.4 Celsius); the Netherlands 62.4 degrees (16.9 Celsius); Poland 66.2 degrees (19.0 Celsius); and the Czech Republic 67.3 degrees (19.6 Celsius).

Given the relative size of Europe and the US, couldn't you say something like 26 states (or whatever it was) saw record cold temperatures in the US during the recent bomb cyclone, since many U.S. states are like European countries?

2 cities in Wyoming experiencing single day record lows disproves global warming?
