Handed the Bodyguard 38 to a novice GLOCK shooter after warming him up with a Target Masterpiece and 4" Model 10 for his introduction to revolvers, today. He kept a couple cylinders of 148gr wadcutters in the 4" facial zone of a 5yd silhouette with roughly 0.56sec splits. This was better than he was reliably managing with his G43X.

After some more revolver intro, we moved on to repetitive drills with his carry GLOCK and never got him as consistent in the headbox but made good strides cleaning up his draw and increasing consistency to ~1.3sec first round hits and 3-shot strings from ready on a landscape oriented 8.5x11 photocopy of a B-8 target with green sticker on the X. The whole paper, not the black or 8 ring.

Watching and coaching, the smooth DA trigger was the deciding difference. He intuitively rolled through it while the "long" pull length made him willing to slow down a hair for hits. The striker trigger had him pulling a Ricky Bobby for low timer numbers and mashing the trigger.
