Resource for Sate Laws Regarding Weapons

Is there a resource for figuring out what the state laws are regarding carrying and or transporting pistols, rifles, shotguns, SBR's, SBS's? Whats legal and whats not?

For example if you're traveling and want to know if a SBS is legal to have loaded or unloaded in the states your going to be in and going through?

How do you go about finding out specific laws pertaining to these questions?

Can you access each states codes online or is there state agency you can call?
Are you loyal to the constitution or the “institution”?

I do not know about every state, but in New York, you can download the current firearms laws off the state website.

I travel a lot, so I have found the "CCW" app for my iPhone pretty useful.

    Good place to start.

I used to travel through about 10 states when we went south for the winter. I used this one and found it helpful. I studied it carefully before departing and took it with me.

NRA guide doesn't mention the laws of some cities, which can be different than state laws. Portland for instance, has enhanced laws. WA doesn't.

Just a heads up. Avoid CA if possible.
