[QUOTE=45dotACP;1464721It feels like the action was worked on or a spring was replaced, so I have fears that Bubba backed out the strain screw or something. [/QUOTE]

Also check to see if somebody didn't grind the tip off of the strain screw.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

I've always found those 3-5-7 686's intriguing. I may or may not have had several on watch lists at various times over the years...

It's sweet! My new-to-me S&W 686 Plus 3-5-7 with the 3 inch barrel, unfluted cylinder and 7 rounds. 36.6 ounces of stainless steel to last me the rest of my life.

    Lookin’ good!

Looks great Blades! I like the unfluted cylinder—tough brute!
Enjoy and get shooting that piece of iron.

Blades, are you still digging that 3-5-7? One popped up on the site of a LGS but I haven't been able to get over there to handle it yet.

I haven't taken it to the range, but yes, I'm still digging it. I really like unfluted cylinders, I like that it's an L frame and weighs 36.6 oz, I like that it hold 7 rounds, and I like the 3" barrel. One of these days I'll take it to the range. I want an owb Kydex or leather holster for it but haven't bought one yet. If I keep causing a double feed in my Glock 26 when I shoot one handed I may have to start carrying it. Revolvers don't try to feed two bullets at once.

Thanks! I handled it last night but couldn't talk myself into taking it home at $800 plus tax. They haven't had it long enough to want to haggle yet and I've got one project I'm starting soon and another rifle I'd rather track down right now.

I’ve also been interested in the 3-5-7. The main thing that’s kept me held back is concerns over getting a lemon with bad QC. I seem to have bad luck in that regard.

I’d love to be convinced otherwise.

    I had the original 19-7 K-Comp revolver and a GP100. I kept this one.

There's one on a local forum for $725.00 and some days I think I need a second one. Mines probably lonely.
