    C&S is closing

Best order any parts you need now.

“I just read on BookFace that C&S is closing. The Fellow with the
Mustache has apparently aged out. They are having a sale and I
recommend that you buy what you want now. They will be missed.”

Just ordered a rear sight. Wish I got some from cdnn but I guess that's what I get.

I don't even know if I want it on my m625 but I figure I could try.

The wait for installing sights on a J frame has just gone from very long to forever.

Sad news that no successor has been found for the business. For a significant period of time in the 90’s and early 00’s, C&S was arguably the most reliable source for semi-drop-in 1911 action parts, and I was very well served by them in the past.

A well-earned retirement and best wishes for Bill & Co.

    This is epically sad news.

I enjoyed meeting Mr. Bill Laughridge while attending one of his first level 1911 pistol courses about 11 years ago at his shop in Fremont NE.

Sad to see his business ending.

I was always intrigued with the 1911 since being introduced to them in the US Navy some time ago. I am grateful to my wife for the birthday present she provided me to attend the course for my 50th birthday.
