So sorry. Losing a dog is incredibly hard. Our family beagle passed away after years of chronic illness this past spring.
I'm seeing the folks for the holidays and they just got a new beagle puppy now that they had sufficiently mourned. She is a little bundle energy, equal parts joy and terror. Hopefully you have room in your heart for another dog once the mourning process is over.
