    Truck bed cap for tacoma

    I have a 2020 Tacoma, standard bed length. https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/2601444

I want to put a cap on the back, preferably a hard top but not opposed to a soft if it is secure.

    Any suggestions?

    Who did you go through?

I've got a 2017 Tacoma extended cab w/ 74" bed, put an ARE hard topper on it, bought through a local truck accessories place (caps are their main business). It's very much a "made to order" thing involving a lot of options (window type, carpeted interior, lights, roof racks, etc..) and those options can often add a lot to the bottom line, then waited like 8-10 weeks for delivery/install. While I really like the utility and I shopped other brands and dealers, it doesn't feel like it's worth what they cost.

When I had my Tacoma I had an ARE that I was quite happy with. As mentioned, lots of options which I appreciated. Bought through a local dealer that also did the install for me.

What I wanted was a snugtop, but at least at the time they didn’t sell in Florida.

Does the above offend? If you have paid to be here, you can click here to put it in context.

Went through a local dealer. Pretty much the way to go.

Depending on what your intent is for the top, you may want to give this a look...

When I got the Leer for my Ram, these were still pretty new to the states and it was hard to find one in person and I was hesitant to try one unseen. After getting to seeing one, I wish I had gone with this. I got mine for an overnight stay while fishing, hunting, etc.. I have half sliding windows and it can get stuffy in the back. There have been nights that would have been better if i could have full opened the sides.
