Are you too tactical? Or are you a sheeple?

    Examine your wardrobe.

Award yourself one point for any garment that meets any of the following criteria:

    • Military surplus
    • Has MOLLE loops
    • Non-hunting-oriented camo (double points for Multicam, triple for Kryptek)
    • Any gun- or gun-related company branding other than Beretta or Browning
    • Made by: Arc'teryx, Kitanica, Propper, 5.11, Blackhawk, et al
    • Has gun-specific features like mag pouches or holster compartments
    • Has epaulets

Tally up the total number. This is your score. It is important that it be displayed prominently in online interactions because everyone with a lower score is a Fudd and everybody with a higher score is a Tactard. You must fight with them to the death,
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

OK. My score is like over 100!

In my defense I still have most of my gear from my military days and still wear a uniform with epaulettes to work every day.

I’m guessing my sub-5 score puts mean squarely in the sheeple camp.

    I'm a Fudd!

I scored 1. I own a Sig Tac coat (Looks like a Carhartt) from the late 90's with an internal holster pocket that I wear in the winter. Never used the holster though.

What about pistol belts? If you wear a pistol belt even when you aren't carrying, does that count as a point. If so, that's a +1 for me.

Zero points. I'm a Fudd. Actually I've tried very hard to be the grey man. I'm trying for curmudgeon too. I do wear Duluth cargo pants and black sneakers.

Does plaid flannel make me more FUDD or super tactical?

Seems like cargo pants might count. Though, in my case, those are more "Dad" than "Operator". More pockets means more ways to carry my kids' crap.

Maybe "Dadtical" should be a thing. I'm going to try to make that happen.

I like Duluth pants which aren't advertised as tactical but have numerous pockets and loops with usages I don't even know what they are for. Folks here wear all kinds of pocketed pants.

My only deliberately camo item are Perry camo suspenders which I wear to matches as a fashion statement. I have some standard 5.11s for matches and some 5.11 dressy pants.

I've mentioned before my one not gray man incident. So I'm traveling to the American Society for Criminology to give a presentation. To travel, I decide to wear my 5.11s as they have a lot of pockets for stuff. I decide for no reason to wear a black polo shirt - no idea why. I have myriad colors. As making my connection to a conference, a very tough looking women gives me the great big smile. I have no idea why until I realize she is wearing 5.11s and a black polo with law logos. She is with a group of similar folks going to the conference. Later an LEO friend told me I dressed as an 'agent'. Thus, the greeting smile.
    Haha!

Never wear tac vests or the like except at IDPA.
