With that kind of rail space you can have a 1.93" optic mount and a CT laser module mounted on top of the gun.

I don't find shooting with the laser to be the quickest way to use a shotgun. I'm about half the speed using that that I am using a stocked shotgun...but I'm still well inside a second to get it on target and land a solid hit. So it isn't exactly unusable either.

    Kind of a hybrid guttersnipe.
What is that fiber optic thing?

I had one left over from a different project I was messing with.

Are you talking the Laser Saddle? https://www.crimsontrace.com/product...s/lasersaddle/

I've wondered if that would be compatible with rails on top.

Any complaints about the Laser Saddle if that's what you've been using?

I so very much see a Shockwave S and some mini-shells in my future...

I did initially try burying the fiber in the groove of the rail for a real guttersnipe thing but the rail is curved notch and the fiber base is flat so no go. But if I really liked it I could melt the base and use adhesive to fix it in place in the rail.

Theoretically I could use a rail mounted optic or other hardware there as well.

No, the generic CT CMR 206 "Railmaster" laser unit. Sitting on the rail at 12:00 it works pretty good.

This was the first time I had shot my shockwave in a year or so. I was using full power slugs.

Thanks, had seen mixed reviews on the Railmaster but if its been solid for you on a Shockwave it should be more than good enough for anything I'll use one for.
