Dexter Russell kitchen and fishing knives

I bought this one on a whim and it was cheap ($21), it’s far and away the knife best in my kitchen for my wife chopping/cutting on marble and glass, and it’s a bloody breeze to clean it up after my wife done her best to destroy the edge 😁

I first heard of these on Deadliest Catch, i.e. the “sliming knives” the crews rely upon. I am not @blues when it comes to knives, but despite the plain looks, I’ll be buying more of these.

My son worked for Jimmy John’s and they used Dexter bread knives. I have a Dexter bread knife and a chef knife. They’ve become my go to knives.

Our knock around knives are Boker and Tramontina for the most part. There are several decent inexpensive knives available.

I have had various Dexter - Russell knives...but mostly the ones of yesteryear or old traditional patterns. Good stuff.

Dexter Russell is very common in commercial foodservice operations. They are not custom Chef's knives by any means but are well designed for the task, cheap, and easy to maintain.

We have their 4" wheel pizza cutter that makes very fast work of any pizza/flatbread.

This one with the 2 3/4 wheel in stainless is interesting as well.

I've got a bunch of Dexter Russell knives. Kitchen, camping and woods use. They have a lot of useful patterns at good prices and made in the USA. Way better for field and boat work than that bubba blade crap.

She’s got both wooden and glass cutting boards. The latter tears up knife edges.

Wood or "plastic" is the way to go. Glass is terrible for knife edges...as is glass and ceramic to cut on.

I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.
