    Before I grew a beard. That’s what I used

I've had great results with this aftershave, but would welcome alternative suggestions for minimizing irritation, especially in the summer heat.
Now that someone has already posted Nivea aftershave balm, which I agree is probably the best thing you can find at Kroger or Target, I'm gonna suggest some boutique hipster junk: Madame Scodioli. The Fortunato flavor smells great, but it's the only one I've tried so maybe there's another I'd like more idk.

The scent is a bit strong, so it'll likely clash with (or just bulldoze) any cologne you wear.

    Exfoliation.

Women (and I suppose some men) have taken up derma planing to give them smoother/younger looking skin.

Been rocking a DE for years now. I buy Feathers 200 pack. Generally last 4 years. I change blades weekly.

Wool Fat and D. R. Harris soaps in the rotation. They last months.

    1958 Gillette Fatboy.

Dude I have been rocking Mitchell's Wool Fat for a few months and it's been great, with the caveat that I can't seem to get a decent lather with my badger brush. I dug out my old boar hair Omega Professional and it worked like a charm.

I use that Fine synthetic brush exclusively now. All my boar/badger brushes collect dust.

The Fat is thirsty and requires a lot of water to get great lather. The DR Harris is similar but seems to last longer. I got that DR puck Father’s Day and I shave almost daily. Big fan of the Fat, though. My main soap.

Do you guys generally shave before or after you shower?

Typically before. I have a beard though, and a major reason for that order is making sure I get the Proraso out of my beard after shaving around it.
