The B-21’s coming in early in the new Cold War.
And the B-1's were new at the time. Now the B-1's are reaching retirement age.

Both the B-2 and F-22 programs were victims of the “Peace Dividend”. Thirty years ago there wasn’t much worry about a near peer adversary in the near future. That’s not so anymore, which is why the B-21 Raider program exists and the F-35 is well on its way to becoming the 21st Century F-16.

Little Known(?) B-2 factoid: The B-2 crew (one at a time) power naps on a cheap over the counter Walmart outdoor chaise lounge, probably sourced from China at least in days of old. The real estate made possible when the navigator role was eliminated sometime in early development. Doubt they made similar provision in the B-21, but maybe the ejection seats recline (not). Bummer that few see from the inside the complete development through IOC on a program like this.

All I know is that the B-52 flyover at the B-2’s retirement ceremony is going to be epic.

We could isolate Russia totally from the world and maybe they could apply for membership after 2000 years.

@ 34 minutes to open the hanger. 36 minutes to unveil it.

Noticed from this shot that these guys are using the old flight test logo... I am sure the big wigs will be upset they didn't follow corporate guidance. Good job people!!! The new logo is lame.
