Waiting to see if an appeal puts the decision on hold as happened to the last positive ruling. This will have eventually to go to the 2nd Circuit and some local legal folks think they will hold the ban removals and slow walk this until they find for the CCIA and then off to Scotus.

It's not over yet. The opt in (which negated Clarence Goes to Manhattan) and the sensitive locals (You ain't taking the train), houses of worship are the most important things to be removed.

Whether what folks regard as a burdensome class survives is interesting. Is it burdensome? Other states have had similar classes but not as long. One argument is that the class ($425) around here is economically and thus racially discriminatory. Whether Scotus cares about that is unknown. Despite mention in the decision what actually is viewed as troublesome is an empirical question.

NYS will throw up more and more legislation and historical research to slow everything down by funneling through the anti 2nd Circuit.

The no mail order ammo to your home is clicking in now. Has to go through an FFL. My local guy is $15.00. Local Cabelas has had tons of practice ammo for decent prices. However, they locked it up and you have to go through a song and dance to purchase it.

To repeat - unless opt in is removed permanently and the sensitive places dramatically cut to be places of reasonable risk - everything else is moot. The time scale for ultimate decision - years? Who knows?
