@Zeke38 - Just FYI, using a coated version of the same bullet and the max standard pressure .38 Special load of BE-86 (4.6 grains), I got 804 fps from my 3” M10-7.

Thanks Rev, real life results are always cool. Appreciate it!
Why do you prefer the LSWC a to the DEWC in the non hollow point role?
Thank you. I am back and forth between the DEWC and LSWC. Ive never shot anything with the LSWC but know the DEWC is pretty amazing on an armadillo.
I have looked at these in the past and was undecided between the LSWC and LSWC HP. Thinking best case they expand worst case they act as a LSWC. I guess the LSWC offer little more penetration
I've spent some time this last month playing with std velocity wadcutters in my 686. They all shot a bit low for my tastes at the 50 ft line. This next week I'll work with 158 gr SWC at the same distances to see if that's satisfactory. I think I already have plenty of SWC cast, coated, and ready to load.

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.
I like using the 158-gr SWC myself for my .38 Spl/357 mag loads... I keep the fps down to avoid leading in the .357 mag loads, accuracy is good and I like the way the bullets cut the holes.
I'll have to order some Rim Rock Bullets, as they're in my neck of the woods down in Polson, MT
Have you tried the non-WN SWC? https://rimrockbullets.com/xcart/-38...r-per-600.html
Just curious if they load/feed any better or worse?
