Leather AIWB holster for Colt Commander

I have a 9mm Colt Commander that I had Evolution Armory do a custom build on. I had been planning to order a JRC Watson Special for occasional carry but waited too long.

I'm looking now for an alternative that is similar in both style and quality. All of my other holsters are kydex from JMCK, DSG, or Safarland so I was hoping you guys could point me toward some leather I should consider. I am willing to wait for something to be made. Thanks!

The closest design similar to the Watson may be the TT Gunleather AIWB rig. I had one and didn't care for the bulk at the snap.

The best AIWB leather holster is the 5Shot SME. The design isn't similar, but the holster just conceals a little better for me (I have both the SME and the Watson).

eta: and congrats on the commander. Evolution turns out some stunners

    Thanks!

The pistol is a looker and deserves a little carry time and some fine leather in which to ride.

You can also check with Adam Bon at Overland Gunleather. It's not on his site yet but he makes an AIWB holster that impressed me. His price and leadtimes are reasonable. If you order today you'll likely get your holster this year.

Not really adding value with this comment but I had to add the Watson is one of the most beautiful holsters I’ve seen. I also waited too long and really kick myself for it.

The Kestrel from NGL might also work

I'd call or email John Ralston (5-Shot) and get on the SME list. You won't regret it.

Safariland 27 is my most used AIWB holster. $60.

    Thanks!

The Palmetto looks very interesting. Similar style to my JMCK for my Glocks but in leather and from my home town.

I've been eyeing the Palmetto AIWB holster for a while. I haven't heard anything about them from members here. Anyone have one of these that cares to give us their thoughts?
