    I am truly saddened to hear this news. He did my BHP makeover last year. I got the gun back a few months ago. He was a pleasure to work with. RIP sir. RIP.

    That is terrible news. I talked to him in February for a couple of hours and he was great at that time.

    @CWM11B

    Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't heard this sad news yet.

    Karl and I had a mutual friend who may have some info on his passing. I'll post if I hear anything from him.

    Edit @03RN has a thread with a bit of info. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/top...ink_source=app

    Karl did this one about 5 years ago… bobbed hammer, tigger job, front sight, crown, etc. I don’t love shooting j-frames but this one shoots well.

    I have a Model 60 and a Model 64 he did. They are both a brilliant testimony to his mind and hands.

    My thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends.

    I had submitted an email to Mr Sokol and he had passed before I received a reply. Mrs Sokol sent a reply to that inquiry saying they were no longer accepting work. I replied with a condolence and in her reply she asked me to pass along this message to the community.

    Hello Brian,
    And yes, I believe it was a huge community that he served with and for. He touched many lives in the 37 years doing gunsmithing.
    Being married to the love of my life for 43 years was incredible. Please thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers.

    I got a similar response when I extended my condolences when she reached out to me.

    God bless her
