    407K Constellation....

Short version is that 2 of my 407K optics look like this. Battery? Gun oil hitting the glass issue? Coating degradation? I just brushed and cleaned them with what I'd use on a smart TV or laptop screen and nothing improved.

Thoughts before I call a Holosun csr tomorrow?

    TIA!

You've made sure there's nothing at all on the emitter itself?

Yeah, I had a broken optic lens on a 507c last year. At least I thought it was broken before I touched up the emitter with a wet Q-tip and cleaned it up. Restored the dot 100%.

Cool. Now where's the emitter? I know. I'm lazy and dumb. [emoji1787]

On the 407k it's tucked at the back/rear lower part of the interior. Look for a place midline where an LED would shine onto the glass, interior to the body of the optic. For a cleaning solution avoid acetone, I use Zeiss lens cleaner.

Thank you! I'll hunt for it later and report back.

Emitter should be roughly where the arrow is. It's going to be "pointing" to the glass, along those serrated black lines, tilted upward a bit. Even though the beam is collimated, they use those lines to reduce specular reflection, so it would be a good idea to swab out that area as well; it's possible dirt or schmutz there might affect the beam, but I dunno. I'd clean it up anyway, tbh, just to make sure.

Thanks all! I feel a bit dumb now asking the question where the emitter is now that I got a chance to go back and look at the optic "live" [emoji1787] Now I'll have to fix the other one later today.

FWIW... My 407 was staying a bit more sparkly even after cleaning the lenses and I never considered cleaning the emitter. So... thanks for this thread...
