He's moved on from phrasing to frisson.
There's nothing civil about this war.

It's a cheap belt from Kohl's, and noisy as hell. I hate the thing.

Hilarious! Looks quite sturdy in the photo...

Another recommendation for the CP here.

However, for the sake of providing alternatives, the Spyderco Subway Bowie is quite good.

Well… clinch pick it is. I wasn’t expecting this level of support to it, but that was a pretty easy decision. It certainly speaks volumes about it.

That is a good point on the grip of the SMR. That would be terrible trying to grip that thing with slippery hands.

I'll stray from the consensus somewhat: I haven't been able to commit to the school of the reverse edge because of the knife's limited use for general cutting tasks. Yes, it is a great dedicated tool, but ideally I want to be able to do other things with it, too.
I'm a really big fan of the Bawidamann Muninn. It's a perfect size for EDC and the sheath is done exceptionally well. Comes with a DCC clip so that IWB carry setup is a breeze.
They are only being produced in small numbers these days, but you can find them on Arizona Custom Knives: https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/products/406219/

I’ve been thinking about getting an El Niño for this purpose. Is there some reasoning that the CP is preferred over the El Niño ?

I would hazard guess that a push dagger is restricted in more places than short fixed-blade.
