I will try to measure and post up some belt thicknesses for you and general info.

I have some digital calipers I bought based on a PF rec I am sure and they could stand to be used.

Update: I ordered the Wilderness Tactical with polymer insert and finally received it in the email. First impression is that I like it a lot. Unlike the Daltech, it has that “tactical” look which I’m not too fond of, but I would wear it with an untucked shirt anyway. For having a polymer insert and being more of their “overkill” option of belt, I was surprised at how flexible it was. I guess I was expecting it to be really stiff and fit more like a hula hoop. In fact, I had to make sure the invoice included in the package was for the right belt. Not that it was flimsy, just surprised it wasn’t as stiff as I thought it would be.

It also looked and felt to be of the same thickness as my other synthetic “tactical” looking belts that can’t quite hold up to the weight of an all steel 5” 1911 worn in an OWB holster. I don’t have a micrometer to measure, though, to make sure I actually did get the one with the polymer insert.

Regardless, this belt can support the weight of my 1911 in an OWB holster better than the Daltech, but not quite as good as my 1/4” Mean Gene Leather belt. But because it’s not as thick as the leather belt, I can fit all my holsters with it. So there’s that. All in all, it looks like it’ll work for the most part and my first impression is positive.

I've really been appreciating the Constantine concealed carry belt. More comfortable than the Zero while providing a better foundation for wedges/wings to work against so it doesn't need to be as tight to get the same concealment. Only downside is it's a minor hassle when needing to drop trou.

I use it with either a P365 Macro-K or G19.5MOS, both in in Tenicor Certum 3 holsters.

I probably me tiined this elsewhere in the thread but…

The Wilderness has the secret sauce to providing stiffness where it’s needed (vertically, along eh short dimension) and flexible where it's needed (horizontally, around the waist) to date have yet to find any of the hobby/garage makers or anyone else for that matter that's figured that out. They wind up making “hula hoops” because they either don't understand what The Wilderness does, or they can't find or make the right material (likely a combination of both).

Ironically, this is pretty much exactly how a well-broken-in leather belt behaves. It gets more flexible around the waist over time from simply flexing its you take it on and off day after day, but retains its vertical stiffness because the belt simply isn't asked to flex that way (muffin tops notwithstanding)

This has led to a hula hoop plague on the industry where people actually think that's what’s required. It's not a feature, its a flaw.
Does the above offend? If you have paid to be here, you can click here to put it in context.

Please let us know how this is working for you. Do you ever use OWB holsters? I'm such an old fogey that I've never warmed to AIWB, though I've spent thousands of dollars chasing the next greatest holster that would be "the one."

I'm intrigued by this design, with several caveats. First, does it REALLY need a steel insert? That sounds like overkill - I haven't found the need even for a polymer insert in my last several go-rounds of Wilderness belts, no matter what I'm carrying, up to and including a 5" steel 1911 with three spare mags on the belt. Second, any time I see something that relies on significant amounts of elastic, I've got serious concerns about long-term durability. Lastly, the price seems pretty darned high - more than twice that of a Volund G-hook Atlas means it better be pretty darned spectacular.

Eagerly awaiting your thoughts - and thanks for tipping us off to this design.

I have been using one since January and I am still really liking it, especially with the heavier CZs that I carry. I briefly tried a Tenicor Zero, but it simply didn't have enough support for the guns that I carry and I had to cinch it up tighter than I liked which lead to some serious lower back pain.

The Constantine belt did for me exactly what it advertised; it supports my CCW, but alleviates the back pain I was getting with other belts. The elastic is really nice because it allows you to sit comfortably without having to loosen or adjust the belt. It also gives you the flexibility to bend over, squat down, and simply move around more comfortably.

So far after 9+ months I haven't noticed any durability issues or changes in effectiveness due to the elastic (or due to anything else for that matter).

I don't think it would be a great option for OWB holsters due to its design being catered to AIWB. The belt is basically split into two halves; the front reinforced section, and the rear elastic section. You would have to rotate the belt around your waist in order for the reinforced front half to be located so that it would support your OWB holster, but that would put the elastic that is designed to wrap around the rear half of your waist in the wrong place to help with comfort. The reinforced section would also be kind of uncomfortable to try and wrap around your hip.

It's certainly pricey, but I would gladly pay that price again after having used it. It's by far the most comfortable belt for AIWB that I have tried so far.

Pro-tip: Tier 1 Concealed sells a re-branded version of the Constantine belt (called the EDC-S) for the same price that actually includes an additional quick-adjust loop that some people might appreciate.

Anyone have experience with the Tenicor zero heavy belt? Alot of info on the regular Zero belt, none that I could find regarding the heavy. Wanting to carry a steel Staccato P with 2 spare magazines iwb maybe 4-5o clock but from searching it seems like the regular Zero belt will not support the weight. TIA.
