Allegedly Glock has developed an AR15 to compete on a European contract. I don’t read German and can’t confirm if this is legit.

I'm told it's legit, and lost out in an SAS trial.
FINALLY!
Now we can be done with the Glock carbine jokes...
I dont know what I expected it to look like but that wasn’t it lol.
As far as I understand this article it's still just a rumor. The photos where leaked and Glock didn't officially confirm them. Yet they seem to bei real.
If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
The article in the OP is based on a video by a YT channel that follows UK military matters.
I don’t know about any recent SAS trials but other more conventional parts of the Uk Military use M4 pattern guns including some of the Paras.
In particular, last year the British Army formed their own Ranger Regiment.
Earlier this year UK MOD put out a solicitation for a new M4 pattern rifle for use by the new Ranger Regiment. There were a few non standard requirements including the ability to put the rifle on safe when the hammer is not cocked a la the HK 416.
Note what appears to be a throw lever for rail attachment similar to the Haenel MK 556.
Based on that and comments in the video this appears to be Glock’s entry in the UK Ranger Regiment rifle trials.
Remember, Glock, like many euro gun companies sees MIL/GOV institutions as their “real” customers. In this case the Glock 17 Gen 4 is the standard UK military sidearm so the UK MOD is already a customer. It makes sense Glock would try to leverage that existing relationship.
Y’all will recall last year someone from the same organization as the OP article found some patent drawings of a Glock 5.56 carbine so this is not a total surprise.
