Australian Military Adopts the SIG P320 X Carry Pro

The Australian Defense Force is finally replacing their aging Browning P-35s with the SIG X Carry Pro with SIG Romeo2 optic and SIG Foxtrot WML as part of a broader upgrade of ADF small arms.

Looks like they are also adopting a SIG MCX PDW variant in .300 Blk, the Benelli M3A1 shotgun and long range sniper systems from AI and Barrett.

Sig is just printing money at this point.

Here in Canada we are trying to get our xxt together to replace our Browning HPs too.
Unfortunately our Govt couldn’t find its way out of a wet paper bag and it’s been years with no progress.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if we wind up with some kind of 320 variant as well.

Its similar to the DHS contract pistol. Must be a winning combo. Not sure about the shotgun choice but the other items seem pretty solid.

I like mine. Mine's been very reliable and accurate, it points nice and IMO is soft shooting.

The ICE pistol doesn’t have a manual safety, and the vast majority of DHS made the right choice and went with Glock.

    Crazy
    Big news
I was holding out hope for a Glock 17 but never really examined the RFQ for whether that was realistic.
I just kind of think of Glocks as common sense choices for simplicities sake.
Whatever I just bought a 320 so I guess I’m heading down that road too.

They are all beat to heck.
I think most of them were made in the 50s and have been shot loose over generations.
We have been trying to replace them for over a decade.
I'm glad we finally have, I dont think the M17 is a poor choice.
