This GP100. ‘Cause, one night in June 1993, I lived. We shared an adventure. Gravest Extreme. No Second Place Winner.

Retar’d LE. Kinesthetic dufus.
Don’t tread on volcanos!
Practically? Glock 43X
If we’re going to let the heart want what it wants though…a 1911 in 45 acp or a Sig p228/226 in 9mm will always have a special place with me.
Thought choice for the FAVORITE……there are handguns that I would never sell, like my S&W M29 that was my 21’s Bday present, but as for my FAVORITE…..
My Wilson Combat Ultra Light Carry(Alloy frame) 5” 38 Super/9mm switch barrel take that title.
Those hits are at 100 yards.

For me it's the Springfield Professional. Spent most of a day walking around a Shot Show checking out 1911's and the Pro just seemed special. I did quite a bit of research before I confirmed that was what I wanted as it was by far my biggest firearms purchase. I'm at about 20k rounds through it with never a hiccup.
For more modern guns it's the EDCx9. I got to handle one in a store and it also just felt "right." It's probably easier to shoot well than the Pro, is more practical due to the higher capacity and silly as it seems, the quality of the magazines and the butter smooth loading of each round is a source of enjoyment to my admittedly, simple mind.

Back when I was first getting interested in guns, I started putting a lot of thought into what... ahem... "my gun" would be. Ha. Haha. Sigh...
So, I decided it need to be sleek, sophisticated, manly, rare and expensive--and probably German. Clearly, the only logical choice was the Walther P88. Which I had no idea existed until about 3 minutes before I made the determination I wanted one. This was at some point in 2008.
Fast forward to 2022, I finally own one:
It can't NOT be my favorite. Because it's the first handgun I "officially" wanted. These days, of course, my expectations for guns are very different than they were ~15 years ago. Nevertheless, I can tell you this: The P88c exceeds all of them--then and now.
It's the nicest gun I've ever owned. It's the most accurate gun I've ever owned. It's... wonderful. And if there's any moral to this story, it is this:
