Pic rail for fixed sight K frame?

I have a couple S&W model 64s laying around. I want to mount a red dot on one. I like the looks of the small Weig-a-tinny rail, and am okay with drilling and tapping the top strap. The problem is that the Weig-a-tinny is designed to fit in the rear sight channel of an adjustable sighted gun, not for fixed sighted guns. What’s my best option? Are there pic rails or similar mounts for fixed sight S&Ws?

I’d say you need to contact a good revolversmith and discuss options.

Gunsmiths used to mount sight ribs, for target shooting, on Model 10 S&W revolvers, so, an old-school ‘smith might be able to help you.

My first thought would be Karl Sokol.
He’s handy with a K Frame and will tell you if he things it is dumb.

Sounds like a cool scheme, you are going to be doing some customizing, maybe do it based on one of the direct mount options?
