My first bow hunt ever at my in laws farm in NC this past Monday-Wednesday. Saw a half dozen doe the first day and a half. None close enough and a couple saw/smelled me and took off hissing.

2nd night this 7 pt makes his way towards me at dusk. I drew on him at 35 yards and again at 30. I just didn't have the confidence to send the arrow.

Patience paid off. He got to 22 yards and gave me a great broadside shot.

Great first bow hunt. I enjoy rifle but bow hunting is a different kind of amazing.

Careful, once you're hooked it's hard to go back. For east coast white tails, there's nothing more satisfying than bow hunting.

Nice going ASH556. Congrats on the first bow kill and venison for the freezer.

8 pointer I got with crossbow yesterday evening. Red light in pic is a lumenok, I love these things for an evening hunt.

You and me both man. It's the perennial east coast hunting problem unless you own a bunch of your own land.
