    Wild sausage.
I had an ER nurse in a class. I noticed she kept taking all head shots. Her response when asked why, "'I've seen too many people who have been shot in the chest putting up a fight in the ER." Point taken.

When you have to use a ratchet strap to keep all the bacon in the truck, it's been a good hunt.

There were 32 in the truck. I accounted for five of them. They all went to a food bank.

    The boss oneupped us.

He got a hog with a Winchester 94 in .38-55 purchased by his family in Canada back in 1907.

Opening day of elk season I decided to do a short hunt after work, needless to say it turned into a long night.

2nd weekend of the dove hunt last month. We only saw a couple of birds, didn’t get a shot at one at all, messed up an easy shot at the second.

Then the rabbits started running. I’ve never killed one with a shotgun before, got two that day. Was pretty fun. They tasted different than domestic rabbits.

This is from 2016. I was just going through some old pics this morning, as I cant sleep. Been up for hours. We were putting the sneak on some cow elk, and these four bulls come strolling out a couple hundred yards away..

I only hunt cows these days, as I don't really have the need for any more horns, but it pretty much never fails, almost every year!

I've not been having any luck the last few years. This was a black bear track from the morning. The snow fell over night. I tracked it for hours but never got close. The temps ranged from 5-19 so I would guess he was scrambling for a den.
About 20 minutes until sunset he scooted into a swamp and I was tempted to drop my rifle and belt and go in light with my 1911 and a surefire. I stood there, drank some water and heard Dave Paulides talking about me so I decided to go back
