Unexpected Surprise

So an envelope appeared in the mail yesterday that I didn’t expect, but I immediately knew what it was.



The invoice was dated 11/2019 and there was a note apologizing for the delay. I even remembered where the gun was.



I’ve had a circa 1953 Colt Cobra kicking around that I picked up cheap because of poorly executed modifications. Naturally the T grip doesn’t mate perfectly at the bottom because the round butt conversion is atrocious, but the ergonomics are much improved, and this gun was always going to have cosmetic issues. Here it is with the adapter on:

I've odered from him 3 times.

7 months for a K frame
6 weeks for 2 more K frames
17 months for 2 N frames

In contrast, I got 2 J frame adapters in a little over a week from Robertson's Trading.

There is a clue in there somewhere.......

It’s apparently just the karma of this gun project, I mean even the picture of it posted upside down.
