Is this BS…..one handed racking with just inertia

I’m a relatively new shooter, and still stuck in D class for the last year but…..

I saw a guy on you tube rack what he said was a Glock one handed, is this possible ?

    Here’s the link

I think it’s fake, but what do I know.

Real. I’ve seen it elsewhere in some match footage, cannot do it myself though. Would be easier to have striker cocked or hammer cocked back and you only have to fight the recoil spring.

It’s a neat trick, but I don’t know how useful it is besides looking cool.

Just pull the gun towards your body, then push it back out quickly. The slide will still travel towards you while you’re pushing the frame away.

I'd be rather worried about short stroking and the possibility of Having a Bad Time.

Looks real to me. That said, aside from being cool, I can’t think of a time that I’d use the technique. TBH, Glocks are easy enough to rack one-handed that just friction from pants on the front of your thighs will do it, with stock sights, even. No need for belts, boots, or any tactical ledge sights. Those guns are pretty forgiving. JMO.

It's real. Not much more than a parlor trick though.

    Parlor Trick. Yes.

I remember when these videos came out. I could do my factory sprung M&P 9 Pro but not consistently. Didn't want to practice it for the reason you mention!

I work with a Ranger who left the army in the last two years, and he told me his squad leader could do it with any Glock 19, worn in or not, but once dislocated his shoulder in the process.
