Thread: Massad Ayoob and Bill Wilson discuss hand loading ammunition for self-defense

Less shady than it sounds, 03. Suicidal people are known to sometimes stabilize the gun barrel with their dominant hand and pull the trigger with the non-dominant, perhaps on the assumption that the dominant hand will keep the bullet on the course they've chosen. If you are familiar with the case, you know it wasn't her first suicide attempt.

Which makes more sense but that not what she was reportedly doing. She reportedly had it in her left hand against her head and was not supporting it with her right hand at all.

She may have used the right hand to stabilize. She was in front of a mirror, as I recall, when the husband entered the room and saw her holding the gun to her head and tried to snatch it away. If he had killed her, I'm sure he would have been smart enough to put the gun in her right hand. He had no motive to do so, and her suicidal tendencies were well established. In any case, it has nothing to do with the handload/GSR admissibility issue.
