I was expecting a Robotic vacuum, modified with off carpet tires, picking up range brass.
Has anyone ever told you that you are insane?
I recommend professional help...https://www.range-systems.com/produc...ss-collection/ - towed behind daughter's Power Wheels Barbie Jeep (or did you buy her the Porsche Cayenne version?).
Woah, that is really cool.

Actuators, what did you use?
A friend and I were dinking with a low end PLC for this concept, but power for actuators is in the end going to be the heavy load on the battery.
Yes, I used these:

With some scrap wood, Airsoft Glock, Birchwood Casey 3D target for the head.
I think you probably recognize what I was trying to do from what we had talked about.
I wanted something that I could practice cuing off head turn a la Active Self Protection
But heads don’t stay still and are very dynamic.
So I wanted something the multi axis movement.
This was my quick solution to get movement like someone bent at the waist.
The lateral head movement is probably about as fast as a human could move, I rhink.
The head is the target and is a replaceable cardboard target.
I’m going to play around with using a wadded Kevlar “bullet catcher” in the center head to knock it down if it gets hit to train to stop shooting when the threat is down.
It’s basically testing and training to see if my timing / speed / accuracy is where I think it is.
Having exposed actuators as a no shoot adds pressure…
