Thread: Swampfox Kraken

Any clue if the RMR plate will fit on Brownells RMR cut slides? Because the RMR plate for the Holosun 509T doesn't.

I bought my Kraken (Green dot) when they dropped. I mounted it on my G34.5. Mounting was easy and straight forward. I finally got to the range today to sight it in and see how well I took to using a dot. This is my first foray into a pistol mounted dot. Elevation was good and windage was adjusted quickly. The dot was quick to find and get on target and shots were easy to make on target from 7-25 yards. I put 100 rounds out today with the combo.

No idea who the reviewer is but this popped up in my feed recently. TL;DW: he had 3 of them end up with water in the battery compartment after submersion. Seems like a smear of clear RTV on the battery cap threads could solve that.

With how big and bulky the optic is, that's an absolute fail. I'm guessing they focused so much on drop testing they took their water resistance rating for granted.

Or there was just enough distortion after the drops to let water seep in but not enough to affect the threads. Maybe?
