...Does anyone here have a DA/SA version with the exposed hammer? Can you comment on how much of the rear sight that enormous spur obscures?

Nothing on the internet I've found shows the sight picture. I know, it's of minimal importance. Much more critical are mensa candidates on youtube commenting on how "smooth" and "slim" it is. That is helpful information.

This was an important question to me a while back and I asked around because in pictures the hammer looks like it obscures the rear fixed sight. Someone posted several angles on the sight picture from their DA/SA 2" and the sight picture looked clean; poster said they had no issue with obscuring, fwiw.

Really wish DAO revolvers with bobbed/spurless hammers were more common. Yet another thing Taurus gets right.

I carry bobbed and hammerless DAO revolvers and like them, but after a lot of time with them I've arrived at retaining DA/SA capability with a minimized spur to be the preferred configuration -- best of both worlds.
