A holster a year in the making finally comes to fruition

In April of 2021 I got in touch with Jim Ryan of JRC Holsters...the original plan was for an AIWB CDA-II, but after talking with Jim some, I changed my mind and went with his Watson AIWB holster. Again - This was April of 2021. Well, the year kind of went downhill from there, and then started to accelerate for everyone...

Jim and I stayed in contact, he kept me abreast of what was going on and why delays were happening (which is fine; no one was escaping 2021 without losing some skin, me included). Time went on, summer came and went, winter settled in and froze the universe, China went more asshoe, etc.

A couple of weeks ago he got in contact with me, letting me know my order was done...and that he was retiring at the end of the year. Sad day indeed, I was hoping to get a similar order for my BHP, but I'll live with one for my 1911...it'll be nice to finally unify my carry style across platforms!

It fits like a glove; both the mag and the 1911! Can't wait to actually get it to the range and give it a workout!

I've only used Kydex AIWB holsters with a claw. Does that holster have anything to rotate the grip towards the body?

Nice holster but damn, I was hoping to order a JRC for my Commander.

There's a stacked buildup under the rear (right side as worn) loop that's commonly referred to as a belt wedge. It's the generally accepted first method to add inward rotation via belt force.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Say it ain't so! I tried a CDAII but it didn't quite work for me. Been wanting to try a Watson.

    I wish him well.

Interestingly, just the other day when doing my usual holster (and gun lube) research, I got to thinking I hadn't heard or seen anything from JRC in a while and was hoping he was doing well.

Edit to add: Congratulations on your holster and mag pouch. They look great.

Very nice rig. And have you tried putting your BHP in the holster?

Oh, it'll probably fit...not quite as well though!

My Watson (and my SME) carries both very well, enough that I don't buy BHP specific rigs.
