Thread: Winchester Super-Lite powder and red colored Winchester SRPs.

Winchester Super-Lite powder and red colored Winchester SRPs.

I just picked up some powder and primers from a guy getting out of shooting.

He threw in a 0.75 lbs of Winchester Super-Lite powder. He told me it's good powder for .45 ACP and it's very similar to Titegroup. Anyone familiar with this powder and any recommended loads in .45 ACP?

Among the Winchester small rifle primers I bought was one tray that has red colored cups. I've never seen primers in that color before and a search on the internet didn't give me any information. Has anyone seen primers with red colored cups before?

I believe my existing Win SRPs have red primer material. I'll check tomorrow.

Never heard of Super-Lite. Believe it's out of production, very fast shotgun/pistol powder. I've never seen any load data for it, but my sources are all very new.

I couldn't find pistol data for Super Lite, either.
I once developed light target loads from scratch with leftover AA Plus, but it was a leap into the unknown. I stopped when I got ejection.

It's been gone a long time, like back in the 90s I believe. I once saw some 9mm cast bullet data with it, but have no way to access it now. It's very fast...

I found a little info in an old loading manual. I used to use 452AA but when it was discontinued I switched to WST.

I never saw the red primers before.

As requested, plus the 9mm 115gr that I forgot with the first batch.
