I have had some Mountain Laurel Designs tarps in the past, back in the day.
MSR and REI has some pretty ok shelter/cover the camp kitchen stuff.
I would like to get a 10x10 again for some backpacking and playing around.

Bought the linked tarp from 5 Col and it’s well made. Shoved it in my HPG Tara pack and this spring/summer has bushwhacked me with so much BS I’ve only had one opportunity to go hiking and didn’t need the tarp.
But some fruit tarts would have been nice.
IMO, silicon impregnated nylon (Sil-Nylon) and polyester (Sil-Poly) fabrics remain the best practical options for lightweight tarps. Both fabrics are durable, lightweight and packable. There are LOTS of cottage and commercial offerings to choose from with prices running from mild to wild.
If weight isn't a factor, tarps made from 70 denier PU coated fabrics can be found for about half the price of the silicon impregnated stuff.
The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.
