Would the Springfield magazines be good low cost, practice mags to shoot minor ammo in my 9 major 2011 Open gun?

I truly love p-f. The info I see here saved me quite a bit of resources. Like I would hear about an instructor and say to myself "mebbe I should go and train with them". Then I find a video posted here and go like "NFE".
Back to the Pro-partskit, I handled one, the 4.25" model, in a local gun store. That particular sample would need a lot of work.

The first guy is known for long range rifle /PRS stuff and his info in that realm is usually decent. He occasionally posts pistol videos but nothing in his videos makes me think I should give his opinion on pistols any weight.
