I don’t think that’s bad at all, shooter.

    Indiana Food Court inspired drills

I ran some 40 yd x 10 shot drills with my carry gear today. CZ P07 Prograde, Holosun 509t2, JMCK WC2.5 under a t shirt.

12.2s, 2 clean runs. Oddly identical times.
    Pushing speed yielded satisfactory results:
    8:40s 2.02draw -2M
    7.35s 2.02draw 4A3C2D1M

I also discovered that my optic needed 2 clicks windage adjustment.

Ran it 2x this morn, off hand 40 yards, concealed under a tshirt, JMCK AIWB WC 2.5, M&P 2.0 Compact Holo 407C Apex Flatty trigger, thumb safety. 1st run cold, 10/10 11.2s 2nd run “fluke check”, 10/10 12.4s. Kind of fumbled my grip a bit on the draw with the 2nd run and had to re-grip. I think I’ve found my IFC inspired drill pistol. Recently started exploring this S&W and so far pretty awesome. The Apex trigger has been huge, especially at this range, at giving me a better opportunity for more consistent accuracy. I think counting cadence, 1,2,3,… in my head while running it has stopped me from “over aiming” and throwing a round or two.

    Skunk Down

IFC drill and general recent long range work paying off already. Caught this guy at the chicken coop coming back to the ranch with my wife after a late night dinner out. 22 yards, running left to right, through the eyes, full moon, using a TLR7A on the almost a Stack-A-Toe M&P 2.0 Compact, Holo 407c, Apex Flatty, Federal HST 147g. Lead him with the dot in front of his nose. I wasn’t wearing my PACT so I don’t have any times to report. Impressed the shit out of my wife so all of the work was well worth it.

Mike Pannone appears to think the Dickens drill stuff has “jumped the shark.”

    He’s not wrong…

I think it was in poor taste to malign Eli’s name since the guy did nothing wrong and nothing to evoke ire.

If he has an issue with people doing the drill fine, but the drill is not of Eli’s doing.

Plus, Pannone has his facts wrong and he’s yelling at clouds.

Nobody said the bad guy stood there for 15 seconds.

Early police reports said bad guy went down after the first two shots and didn’t meaningfully move.

The bad guy was down and not moving much for the remainder of the shots.

There was also some movement so not all shots were at 40.

Like people said, it’s really a 2 shot drill at 40 yards.
