    Jared Reston’s carbine standards:

    B-8 at 50 yards
    Start standing move to prone
    10 rounds in 10 seconds
90 points or better to pass

I will have to dig out my notes, but I like the Viking Tactics 50/50 drill. Off the top of my head I cannot recall the distances or times, and google isn't helping right now, so maybe someone else can chime in.

3 mags with 10 rounds each. 50 yards, 10 rounds in 20 seconds. Then 25 yards, 10 rounds in 10 seconds. Then 10 yards, 10 rounds in five seconds. Whatever the actual distances and times you are supposed to be doing are cut in half so that in the beginning you are working on accuracy under time pressure, and at the end you are working on speed at an acceptable level of accuracy.

I like this one for breaking up the standard carbine class and letting the shooters shoot fast.

    It’s called the 1/2 and 1/2 drill

3X mags 10 round each. 10 rounds at each distance:

    20 yards / 10 seconds
    10 yards / 5 seconds
    5 yards / 2.5 seconds

MPX as a long gun trainer

Converted one of my SBRs to this configuration.

Should work fine for the close up 50 yard and in standards.

Learning the limitations of short long guns without muzzle weight.

The suppressor and longer guard should help.

Looks great. This is one of the reasons I still like pic rails, and the heat mitigation.

Tried the Trident going for 4” at 25 yards rather than 8” at 50 due to space constraints.

Scored a 12 due to three “misses” and 3 seconds under par.
