I want to Taurus my LCPII.

Taurus makes some shitty guns but they’re not afraid to go out of the box.

Behold, the curved grips of the Curve and View.

The View is my primary pocket carry.

But what if I shaved or melted the mag extension for an LCP or other polymer wonder?

From stipple experimentation, it wouldn’t be that hard…

This is what I have in mind.

The pointy corner is the thing that pocket prints the most for me and why I usually go revolver.

Are you just reshaping the bottom corner or molding the handle slightly?

I’m not sure yet. I’m limited by mag hole… but it’s possible that I could melt the grip all the way to one side….

Read the title, had a pretty good guess who started the thread without looking to see.

    Look forward to the project.

Gotta say, I agree very much with your first sentence. It's easy to discount Taurus because a great deal of their guns suck (or have good base designs but sucky QC) but they do seem to have cool ideas a lot.

I've spent a lot of time carrying LCPs, so I'm curious where this goes!

Rabbit holes are where I go with these things.

    Bought these to try out:

Figuring it might suffice in the pocket revolver role…

Wouldn’t use it with an LCP II but might consider it with the LCP or Bodyguard (especially since I have the option of a manual safety on my bodyguard). I’m also wondering if the P32AT s I have lying around might be a good use for this with the 8 round capacity.

    Good luck.

I would personally lean toward the LCP Max for extra rounds rather than a mag extension. The Max conceals pretty much as a LCP II without an extension.

Of course you may have other reasons for the extension besides round count.

Mainly because that’s what I own, lol.

    If I were going thicker I’d probably carry the P365-380 I own…

But for this it would be mainly because I can melt and burn a $10 mag extension and replace it if I fuck it up and not have it be the serialized part of the gun.

Not quite a square peg in a round hole...
more like a straight peg in a curved hole
