    I can pee outside.
I had built a 11.5" pistol and messed with it for a while. the muzzle blast with an A2 was obnoxious. Bought one of these, just to try the concept, before committing to the device from a better company at a greater price.

It definitely mitigated the blast, and noise away from the shooter. How well, and how long that cheap one would last I cannot say, as I sold it shortly after the first round of the Gub'mint rule changes on braces and pistols. For what it was, it made shooting 5.56 from a short barrel agreeable.

The local range frowns on shooting after dark, but at dusk it’s an orange glow. I took one shot w the bare muzzle, M193 and got a huge fireball.

Here’s a huge comparison test with pics of both comps and flash hiders:

Thanks for the link! I have a few of the AAC flash hiders (51t flavor) for one of my rifle cans.

I just purchased a Griffin QD Blast Shield. It is made to attach to any milspec A2 muzzle device as well as Griffin’s muzzle devices using their GateLok mount system. I was a little worried because there were some online complaints of the product not fitting on their A2 devices and my gun has an A2. Thankfully everything fit perfectly. I haven’t tried it out yet, but blast shield seem like fairly simple devices, so I’m sure it should be fine… no more passing off people shooting next to me at the range!

I've got a Cherry Bomb/Whistle Tip combo on the Rattle. It works well for diverting blast downrange. Also have a linear comp setup about the length of a can to go under my suppressor-length handguard. It sends blast forward as well and makes the gun more pleasant to shoot and stand next to overall. But in terms of reducing recoil, eh.

Neither really reduces blast signature just directs it forward. Which, admittedly, I like quite a bit. I probably won't own another comp-equipped gun that doesn't have a screw on blast shield.
