I Have a Revolver Addiction, and My Wife is an Enabler!

I went to the LGS, and the owner feared this 586 at a discounted price. I called my wife, and she said “Maybe”. I stood at the counter for a minutes knowing she’d call back. Well, she did, and said “Father’s Day is on Sunday, so you should buy the pistol.” Obviously I bought it, and it shot very well. I didn’t have my feeler gauges handy, but did notice the B/C gap seemed a bit large. My feeler gauges are under the coffee table, and I want surprised to see the gap is .010”. It did spit lead or flames with .357 magnum, so I dunno. Supposedly that gap is within S&W’s spec, but I’ll wait and see.

Before the last picture I was going to ask if you had to shoot it upside-down. Just kidding. Congrats!

Thanks Dave! I didn’t even look at the post after clicking the Submit button, and just noticed I wrote “It did spit lead.” That is not correct, and it didn’t spit anything. When my wife stops preening herself, we’re going to the range to blast the Blazer .357 magnum through the revolver! 👍👍👍👍

Nice. Everyone should have either an L-Frame .357 or a GP.100. (Unless they have a Model 27/28.)
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

    Yes. I have 686+ revolvers in 2.5”, 3”, and 4”. The 586 makes 4 total L frame .357’s.

The Python hasn’t seen the light of day since I don’t know when, so it’s in the group portrait. Missing is the M13, and Colt King Cobra.
