The 9-In-9 Skill Drill, Getting you off the X with Ken Hackathorn

One of Ken Hackathorn's instructor buddies, Dave Spaulding, developed a great drill to get you off the X. He uses a simple index card which makes a good target.

I like these drills, but without time par penalties or hit factor scoring it does nothing to prevent the proverbial untimed dot torture hero from turning it into a standing square range drill.

If meant as a defensive drill at those distances, there should be a strict time cutoff FAIL.

Because someone attacking from that distance will be on your ass if you take more than X time to get that shot (or won’t be still standing where you started aiming before you get your shot off).

@JCN I think the Mad Half Minute drill by Pannone at CTT Solutions offers what your looking for. Easily done for HF scoring, and more movement. Been awhile since I have done it myself, but I recall it being fairly sporty.
