Okay Surefeed 10-rd baseplate reduction surgery?

The Okay Surefeed 10-rd mags have a large, angled baseplate that makes them look kinda like a 20-rd GI mag. I would like to have a less-bulky mag that doesn't resemble a 20-rd mag. Does anyone know what that baseplate looks like on the inside? Is it a more or less solid block that I could put through a bandsaw and make the mag nice and square like a 10-rd P-mag? Or is it hollow and doing that would destroy it?

Cheaper to ask the question here than buy one...

I don’t know what’s inside them but they’re big to give you something outside the magwell to grab onto.
